Yesterday, we took Luke to the doctor for his one month check up. He now weighs 8 pounds 2 ounces and is 20 inches long. He is growing like a weed!! We had a lot of questions for the doctor and after she took the time to examine Luke and talk with us, we feel more at ease that we are on the right track to solving Luke's eating/crying/pooping issues. She switched us to a new formula for colic babies, gave us the option of putting Luke on baby Zantac, and also gave us a few pointers of things we could go to help relieve any kind of pain he was having!
Well, I tried giving him the formula when we got home, and he must have known that we weren't excited about how much it was going to cost us to feed him this special stuff! He was NOT a fan of the new stuff at all! He actually spit it right back out at me and started screaming! I tired a couple more times, and got the same response! Luckily, I had some of the formula we had been using and gave him that and he took it just fine! So, I called the doctor back today and she said to go ahead and give him the old stuff and we would start giving him the baby Zantac and see if that solved the problem. We are also giving him a little bit of apple juice in hopes to see some good poopy soon!!
Despite all of the issues we think we are having with our little man, the doctor said he looks to be healthy and growing just fine. He can also lift his head up really well when he is on his belly or laying on your chest. He is becoming more alert of his surroundings and likes to look at his name on his wall and even liked looking at the Mickey Mouse on the wall at the doctor's office yesterday!
Tonight, we took some picture of Luke in honor of his one month birthday. This Saturday, we are actually going to get professional pictures taken and get a few family photos!

Lukeman has some muscles goin on there!
